Hi everyone,
We had quite an interesting lesson earlier on with regards to our new compo writing. A lot of you had lots of ideas on how we can develop the story. We brainstormed quite a bit also on how we can write the story too.
As I mentioned in class, we will use the flashback strategy in the compo. As we did not have time to note down the introduction, I am writing it here for you. Please use either one flashback to start your writing. The first one is where you called for help when you saw the snake while the second one is on the scenario that you are bitten by the snake.
First Flashback introduction
"Hero saves the day!" I read the headline flashed in Straits Times. I continued, "The courageous young man was praised by the minister for saving a little girl who was going to be attacked by a snake. He was..." I stopped reading and called out to my younger brother to read the article with me.
"This happened to us too, Brother!" exclaimed Tim when he saw the headline.
"I was thinking about that too," I commented.
The headline brought back vivid memories of an incident that happened to us.
It was a lovely Sunday.........
Second Flashback introduction
"B.C. man survives Costa Rican snake bite!" I read the headline flashed in Straits Times. I continued, "A B.C. man who suffered a potentially deadly snake bite in Costa Rica..." I stopped reading and called out to my younger brother to read the article with me.
"This happened to us too, Brother!" exclaimed Tim when he saw the headline.
"I was thinking about that too," I commented.
The headline brought back vivid memories of an incident that happened to us.
It was a lovely Sunday.........
Please use at least 8 phrases from your list to complete this writing.
All the best!
Love,
Ms Reena
